Mediation
Confidential resolution guided by a Certified Family Law Specialist
Reach your own agreement — with an expert in the room
Mediation lets the parties decide the outcome of their case instead of leaving it to a court. Suzanne N. Boucher guides the discussion, helps each side understand the law and the numbers, and works to narrow the issues until an agreement is within reach.
Because she has spent more than three decades handling California property and support issues — business valuations, executive compensation, retirement plans, separate-property tracing and guideline support — Suzanne can test proposals against how the law actually works, so agreements are realistic and durable.
How it works
- Inquiry & conflict check. Submit an inquiry with the parties’ names so a conflict check can be completed.
- Scheduling & preparation. Dates, location (Walnut Creek office, a neutral location, counsel’s office or video) and fee split are confirmed. Parties or counsel provide briefs and key documents.
- Session. Joint and private sessions as needed, focused on the issues that matter most.
- Agreement. Terms reached are documented so counsel can prepare a stipulation or judgment.
Mediation communications are generally confidential under California law, and sessions are held privately — away from a public courtroom.
